The Supreme Court of Appeals of Virginia heard the case of Marshall v. Shaw, a case that was appealed from Alexandria Circuit Court.  In this case, the Supreme Court of Appeals of Virginia held that the fact that a pedestrian, who was crossing the street on a crosswalk, may have stopped momentarily in safety zone did not deprive pedestrian of protection of statute imposing duties on motorist approaching a crosswalk being used by a pedestrian. Code 1950, § 46-244.
