When brought to trial for manslaughter he filed a plea of former jeopardy which was overruled. This was correct, for reckless driving and involuntary manslaughter are distinct offenses. Furthermore, Code 1950, section 19-232, was inapplicable since it relates only to former convictions where an act is a violation of two or more statutes or ordinances. In the instant case defendant had been acquitted.” Dykeman v. Com., 201 Va. 807, 113 S.E.2d 867 Va. 1960.
