A Brooklyn man is being held in the Warren County Jail after police said he nearly struck a parked vehicle and pedestrian on Canada St., Lake George. Sheriff’s officers were on Canada St., dealing with a criminal mischief complaint about 12:41 a.m. Sunday when they saw a 2009 Mercedes SUV traveling southbound at a high rate of speed. Upon initiating a traffic stop, they arrested Pavel V. Dyak, 29, of Dank Court, Brooklyn, charging him with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving. Police said Dyak’s blood alcohol content was 0.15, nearly twice the legal threshold of .08.
